Traveling down a road of issues with food like over/under eating and then with ﬁtness of over/under exercising since I was a young child, I tried everything as an adult except surgery to lose the weight that kept creeping up over the years. A co-worker's wife shared on her facebook about a free clean week! I was so in. I never thought I'd hear the words "exercising is so fun!" come out of my mouth again, but it's true! It is fun! Learning about proper portions and balanced nutrition got me on a new road to the best health I've ever been in. I'm encouraging others to love themselves enough to enjoy health and fun ﬁtness even over age 50 like me. I'm on this journey with them.
Realizing I mattered and I was worth the investment in my health, I got serious about this health journey. It wasn't about losing weight. It was about my long term health physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. You matter and you are worth it! To achieve optimal wellness, one must apply it towards every possible endeavor. You can apply a wellness approach towards your environment, community, career, belief systems, physical activities, self care, healthy eating, self esteem, and creative activities. Applying wellness in your everyday life will allow you to achieve your full potential and live with passion and purpose.
